Amar Benchikha is a writer of stories. His literary fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in journals such as Pembroke Magazine, The Carolina Quarterly and The MacGuffin, while his weird fiction has been showcased in Nightscript and Vastarien.

He is an American born and raised in western Europe, and a graduate of Lehigh University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Philosophy. After a dozen years spent in the States, working first as an engineer, then as a ski patroller and whitewater raft guide, he returned to Italy where he teaches ESL and French.
